Insignia

The earth is full of signs for those who are certain. And within yourselves; can you see?
Al-Dhareyat 51:20-21
(The Holy Quran)

Pentacle

The pentacle is a star within a circle. This is the sign of the Seal of Solomon.
The pentacle resembles man with his legs and arms outstretched, a human star inside the circle of the aura.
The upright star also represents the 5 elements. The upward point of the star is representative of the spirit. The other four points all represent an element; earth, air, fire, and water. The circle touching all 5 points indicates that the spirit, earth, air, water and fire are all connected. For invoking and banishing, trace the star beginning with the element you draw power from.

Hexagram

The hexagram is the Star of David formed by two intertwined triangles. The triangles represent macrocosm and microcosm; that which takes place on the material earth plane also takes place in the realm of Spirit. In runic workings it is the triple dagaz, and represents protected transformation.

Cross

In Druidan times, the cross represents the sun. Throughout history, the four arms of the cross represent the four elements (earth, air, fire, water), the four directions of the compass (north, south, east, west) and the four parts of man (mind, soul, heart, body).

Ankh

The ankh is a symbol of infinite power and immortality. It also represents fertility from the union of male (the staff) and female (the oval).

Triquetra

The triquetra originally symbolises the realms  of the earth, air and sea.

Circle

The circle is a symbol of eternity without beginning and without end. The line of the circle serves as a boundary to contain the power within your space, encompassing the volume above and below the circle.

Spiral

This spiral appears much like the Archimedean spiral, only anti-clockwise. The uncoiling of the spiral represents the movement of creation. You come around to arrive at the same place, but on a new level at a point different than before.

Feather

The feather is a symbol of access of the human to other realms. Feathers that are given to you by a bird willingly do not contain negative energy.

Smoke signals

One puff: To seek the attention of others. A sign for others to watch for further signals. Currently no imminent danger.
Two puffs: To indicate that the camp shall stay permanently as the location is safe and resources are available.
Three puffs: Alarm signal, either indicating danger of approaching enemy or onset of battle.
Continuous single column of smoke: A call for help. Great danger.

HOW A MAN OVERCOMES HIS PRIVATE ENEMY
The hyena symbolises one who is unsettled, who does not remain in the same state,
but is sometimes strong, and at other times weak.

When the hyena, that is pursued by the enemy, turns to the left, it is slain by the pursuer.

When the hyena, that is pursued by the enemy, turns to the right, it slays the pursuer.
